The Twenty-Eighth Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools Annual Recognition Reception was held on May 21st at Carrboro High School. Harrington Bank was proud to sponsor the Teacher of the Year Award as well as two Honors Teacher Awards. Takiyah Baptist, a kindergarten teacher at Ephesus Elementary, was named CHCCS Teacher of the Year. Denise Shaw of Frank Porter Graham Elementary and Hans Hiemstra of East Chapel Hill High School were named the CHCCS Honors Teachers. Harrington Bank’s Renovation Programs allow you to combine the cost of the home with renovation/remodeling costs and finance it all in one loan. At closing, all funds for your renovation will be escrowed in an interest-bearing account.  After all renovation work is completed, any remaining funds in the escrow account will be used to pay down the principal balance of your loan. Harrington Bank customers, friends, and family came out to celebrate our 10 year anniversary on our Community Appreciation Day. Each location offered food, fun, prizes, and games. The Main Office featured live music from ‘Janet Stolp and the Best Kept Secrets’ as well as free windshield washing in the drive-thru. Southern Village had cotton candy for the kiddies and a balloon pop for prizes. Our Martin Luther King Jr. branch had a bean bag toss and a putting green. The Falls River team participated in the annual community Spring Fling with crafts and other fun activities. Each location had promotional items from local businesses on display.
